also looks more like a Meditaranian place lost in
the tropical jangle and certainly is
not where you’ll find the Bolivia you see in pictures.
The city originally served as a supplier of rice, cotton and fruits
for the rest Spain's South American colony.

Monseñor Rivero located
near downtown, beginning at the
Cristo
statue on the 2nd ring, and ending at the municipal library on the
first ring. In general Avenida
Monseñor Rivero is the best place to start
your evening during your holidays in Santa
Cruz.

Avenida San Martin
is with out a doubt the best nightlife area in
Santa
Cruz de la Sierra.
Located
in the north western section of the city.
Some famous bars and clubs around Avenida San Martin are: Splash
Bar,
La Pascana, Sabor Permano, Jose Quervo, Puello Viejo and
Orange
Bar club.
Locals refer to this street as "Equipetrol.
In this place many local young guys open the doors of them cars
and let
the
music
from their stereos pour out. One of
the reasons that cars become fashion is that drinks are
expensive (cocktails cost around $3–4, and beer $2–3).
During the weekend this place gets very busy and the Parties
in the street often cause havoc as parked cars play their
different music.
Avenida San Martin is the place
that elected by
local young people
as a place to look for sex. Equipetrol
Nightlife is must see for travelers that visit Santa
Cruz.
