Situated on the extreme South of Portugal. The region runs from the Atlantic Ocean near Sagres in the West to Vila Real de Santo António in the East on the Spanish border. Thousands of holidaymakers from around the world fly into Faro Airport or drive or sail from other parts of Europe each year. But when the sun gos down, the varied choices of Algarve nightlife begin to beckon. There was a whole range of clubs and discos in the Algarve nightlife, catering for everything from 60s nights to banging techno. Clubs generally open after 11pm and don’t let you go until 4.30am. Drinks are usually marked on a card, (Portugal System) and you pay on the way out.
There are always lots of cabs around, so there is absolutely no need for drinking and driving. There are also a number of casinos in Algarve. You could find sophisticated gaming rooms with different casino games. Lagos is great place for nightlife. There are a few places to go in and around Lagos. There is a large Irish population which is reflected in some of the bars here. Faro is also good at night.
The main entertainment points of Faro are located along Rua do Prior There, you can find a great number of Bars, cafes and nightclubs.
