Antwerp Nightlife Clubs And Bars: Antwerp is Belgium’s second city, and the biggest one of Flanders. Located 56 miles from the North Sea and is one of the busiest river ports in the world. Without a doubt is a metropolis full of culture, architecture, fashion and entertainment. I was there for two times and I can say that this city is one of the best for nightlife in Belgium. Antwerp is a young and buzzing city with its 10,000 or so students ensuring a lively nightlife. This city has so many different facets that it takes a while before one gets to know it thoroughly. To get the real feel of the Antwerp nightlife, you should go out after midnight.
Antwerp has numerous clubs and bars with live music. you’ll find live Jazz, Rock or Blues at almost any bar. Most bars open about 9pm. Most stay open until 2am and some as late as 6am. Clubs open from late in the evening until dawn. The Groenplaats and Grote Markt and its surrounding areas are the best places to start your evening and they are famous for the delicious Belgian waffles and Belgian beers. Beer drinking is a national tradition in Belgium that dates back to the 15th century. If you want to enjoy some of the old pubs and bistros you can find a variety of them on Peiter Potstraat, Pelgrimstraat and Hoodstraat.
Some other great areas for Antwerp nightlife is Walseekai, Graaf van Egmontstraat and Van Schoonhovenstraat that caters mostly to gay scene.
