Taiwan is a country that lives in night. Taipei nightlife does not stand behind other capital cities. Restaurants close by 2130, but with no licensing limits many bars are open until 0200 or 0400, and some all night. Taiwan nightlife bursts with the scatterings of young people to the most hip places. The common nightspots found everywhere, discotheques, piano bars, music lounges, pubs, karaoke bars, jazz clubs, pumping nightclubs and ‘bottle clubs’. ‘bottle clubs’ allow customers to buy alcohol by the bottle and keep it at the club for future occasions. Though lacking the distinct and frenetic nighttime atmosphere of Hong Kong or Tokyo.
One of the best nightlife commercial district is found in the Anho Rd in East Taipei and the older Shi Men Ding or West Side. Shi Men Ding has an old world atmosphere with lots of tiny little bars and atmospheric tea and coffeehouses in its narrow alleys and traditional night markets. For sure, we can conclude that the local people have an excellent choice of places to eat, as indicated by the various, scattered restaurants and night markets on this island. Nightclubs galore in Taiwan and are frequented by locals and foreigners alike. Most nightclubs are open pretty late, some are just getting out when the sun comes up.
