songkran-daySongkran Day: Our next Thai Festival is Songkran Day. Songkran Day for me is one of the funniest festivals in Thailand. Songkran Day is the Thai New Years celebration that has roots in using water as a symbol of cleansing for the new year. Of all the feasts and festivals in Thailand, which are many, the Songkran Festival is the most extreme. It begins on the 13th April and ends on the 16th April, It is something like a Public Health Cleaning Day. Water throwing among the people in a spirit of fun and goodwill is the main activity of this festival. Do not even thinking to go out to the bars with your good clothes on that days.

loy-krathongLoy Krathong festival: One of the most popular Thai festival in early November is the Loy Krathong festival, when the weather is fine in the  end of the raining season and there is high water level all over the country then is time for Loy Krathong. Loy is mean to float, the Krathong usually contains a candle 3 jock sticks, some flowers and some coins. The festival starts in the evening when there is a full moon in the sky, people of all ages walk and holding them Krathongs. Later on they lighting the candles and the jock sticks, they make a wish for good luck and gently they lay them Krathongs on the water.

full-moon-partyFull moon party: Our last Thai Festival on Thai Festival - Thailand Festivals - Thailand Parties post is Full moon party. Koh Pha Ngan Is a part of the group of islands that make up the Samui Archipelago. Full moon party is worldwide famous and caters to young people that want to have fun. The party is full-on enjoyment, and over the years tourists who have joined the fun have been so impressed that they’ve told their friends, as a result of this word of moth, there are an increasing number of visitors attending the monthly party every year. Today there are about 10,000 to 20,000 people attending every month at Koh Phangan beach party. Participating in the Full Moon Party as part of visiting Koh Phangan is one of the “musts”.
